Our tour begins as we depart Manhattan from our exclusive meeting point at the Hotel Riu Plaza, with an expert Spanish speaking guide who will share fascinating details along the way. We travel south through New Jersey and Delaware, where we will make a brief 30 minute stop for breakfast.
Our first major experience of the day brings us to Annapolis, the picturesque capital of Maryland and one of the best preserved colonial cities in the country. We will walk along its historic seaport and charming brick streets. We will admire the exterior of the prestigious United States Naval Academy and the imposing Maryland State House, the oldest state capitol in continuous legislative use where George Washington resigned his military commission.
After absorbing the sea breeze and naval history, we head to nearby Washington D.C. We will pass the Pentagon, the US intelligence headquarters, before arriving at our honorary stop: Arlington National Cemetery. In this resting place for war veterans, we will visit the graves of former President John F. Kennedy and his family, as well as other historical figures who shaped the nation.
Passing the Iwo Jima Memorial, we reach the National Mall, home to the citys most iconic attractions.
