Description
We will visit the capital of the United States and the most commemorative monuments in the history of this nation. Our tour begins when we leave Manhattan with a Spanish-speaking guide who will tell you all the curious details that you will see. We will pass through the states of New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland to reach our destination, Virginia and Washington DC.
When we meet in Delaware we will stop to have breakfast for 30 minutes. Then we will head to the state of Virginia to skirt the Pentagon Intelligence Center of the USA, our first stop will be the Arlington National Cemetery, resting place of war veterans, where we will visit the graves of former President John F. Kennedy and his relatives, Robert Strange McNamara, secretary of defense from 1961 to 1968, and Michael Musmanno, jurist and naval politician.
Passing by the Iwo Jima Memorial, a tribute to the United States Marine Corps, we will arrive at the National Mall, where you will find some attractions of the city: the Vietnam War Memorial, the Monument to the Three Soldiers, the Monument to Lincoln, site of the historic “I Have a Dream” speech by Dr. Martin luther king jr. And the Korean War memorial.
We will continue the tour passing through the Federal Reserve, the Washington Monument, better known as the “Obelisk”, the Reflective Pool, a World War II memorial, the OAS and the International Red Cross.
We will arrive at the exterior of the White House, where you can take photos and remember the famous Conchita, a woman who lived for decades in a tent as a sign of protest against nuclear weapons and today continues Philippos Melaku-Bello.
Passing by the Ford Theater and the FBI headquarters, we will visit the southern exterior of the National Capitol, after which you will have free time to eat (45 minutes). With our batteries charged we will leave for New York at 3:30 pm.
We will be back in Manhattan between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. (depending on traffic), ending the tour in the Time Square area. If we arrive on time, if the weather and traffic allow it, we will make a stop at Weehawken, one of the best viewpoints in New Jersey.
This entire tour with a tour guide who will give you valuable information about everything that can be seen during this trip. It should be noted that there may be certain changes when the tour is done by bus or problems arise with traffic and weather.
